Attorney Shea Kraft focuses his practice in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Defense, Estate Planning, and Municipal Law, but also has background as a general practitioner. Attorney Kraft uses open and honest communication with clients from the outset of their case to identify their ultimate goals, and believes in being straightforward with his clients to provide them with the information necessary to make informed decisions throughout their case with their ultimate goals in mind. Attorney Kraft prides himself on attention to detail in his clients’ cases, and utilizes his calming and empathetic demeanor to assess the individual needs of his clients, reduce their levels of stress and anxiety, and provide effective representation tailored to each client’s needs.
Attorney Kraft is a graduate of Temple University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2012. Following completion of his undergraduate studies, Attorney Kraft attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 2016. While completing his studies at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Attorney Kraft served as a class representative for the Student Bar Association, the Lieutenant Governor of Communications for the American Bar Association 3rd Circuit Law Student Division, a Pitt Law Ambassador, and a Pitt Law Diversity Committee Member. Attorney Kraft also participated in the Pitt Law Veterans Practicum, where he worked with veterans to appeal denials and adverse determinations for veterans benefits and to prepare applications for discharge upgrades. During his participation in the Pitt Law Veterans Practicum, Attorney Kraft worked with the supervising attorney and several other law students to present evidence before the Naval Discharge Review Board located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C. and obtained an upgrade of the character of discharge for a veteran to an honorable discharge, which allowed the veteran to receive the full scope of veterans benefits, including access to GI Bill benefits to further their education. During law school, Attorney Kraft also worked as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Jose E. Martinez at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, a Law Clerk for a post-conviction criminal appeals attorney, and a Law Clerk for the City of Pittsburgh Law Department.
Following his graduation from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Attorney Kraft began his legal career as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Gregory J. Hammond in the Warren and Forest County Court of Common Pleas. He then went on to practice with a general practice law firm in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Attorney Kraft joined Geary, Loperfito & Generelli, LLC in 2021 as one of the firm's Associate Attorneys.
Attorney Kraft has successfully litigated issues in all aspects of Family Law, including Divorce, Custody, Support and Protection from Abuse (“PFA”) matters. Attorney Kraft has also assisted clients with requesting and defending against Involuntary Termination of Parental Rights petitions, Petitions for Adoption, and Juvenile Dependency matters. Additionally, Attorney Kraft has successfully defended his clients’ rights in criminal cases, with experience at all stages of the criminal justice system process, including preliminary hearings, pretrial motion litigation, jury trials, and post-sentencing and appeals issues.
Attorney Kraft is a past President of the Armstrong County Bar Association and maintains membership in the Armstrong County Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is licensed to practice by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
Attorney Kraft is a resident of West Deer Township in Allegheny County, where he and his wife are raising their three children.
