Anthony G. Urti, Esquire
Attorney Urti is an associate with the firm. His practice focuses in the areas of criminal defense, real estate, domestic relations, corporate, municipal law, and estates, trusts, and probate.
Education
Attorney Urti obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2010 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as a member of the Moot Court Board in his third year. Attorney Urti was awarded “Best Brief” in the Appellate Moot Court Competition during his second year, and upon graduation was awarded the William Frederick Schulz, Jr. Legal History Award. Attorney Urti holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Slippery Rock University. While an undergraduate, Attorney Urti was a member of the Slippery Rock University Baseball team and was named a first team all-conference pitcher in 2000. At Slippery Rock, he also wrote for the student newspaper. Attorney Urti completed a Master of Arts degree in theology and classics, summa cum laude, from Knox Theological Seminary in 2007.

Attorney Urti is licensed to practice by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Work History
Prior to joining the firm of Geary & Loperfito, LLC, Attorney Urti served as a law clerk in the office of general counsel for the United Steelworkers, focusing on labor related matters. He also served as a summer clerk for the Honorable Jacqueline Shogan of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, where he handled appeals in both civil and criminal matters, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Nora Barry Fischer of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Prior to attending law school, Attorney Urti worked in the fields of non-profit government relations, education, and technical writing.

Personal
Attorney Urti was born and raised in New York where his father served as Lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department and mother is still employed in the public school system. He is married with one child. His wife is a graduate of Kiski Area High School where she was a member of the marching band. Attorney Urti’s mother and father in-law reside on Kepple Hill in Parks Township, Pennsylvania, where they have lived for more than 30 years. His father-in-law is retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation and mother-in-law is the former owner and operator of Children’s Playcare.
